It's a complex world, people have information overload and only have time to consume media, rather than think about it.

And it aligns with human nature as well - people believe that when things are going well, it's because of their good choices, while when things go badly it's someone else's fault.

It's not that Republicans are necessarily better communicators than Democrats, but their message is easier to sell.
