assy, your team lobbied for the rule that we can't start counting mail in till the polls open. your team lobbied for no early voting. my polls are open till 8. it will take me an hour minimum to close (probably 90 mins this election), thirty minutes to drive to drop off materials. then the county has to warm-certify my counts ("does anything look super wonky? do we need to do a quick manual count before we upload?") along with all other precinct counts and send them to the state one by one.

if we could report by 9, I could be home with wine by 10. never happening, ever.
