Thanks for the REI recommendation as a place to actually try out the shoes.
I am so mentally prepping that it is going to be like you can barely see cause it is raining so hard, rain at Goodison on Dec 29th and compared to my normal environment freezing temperatures......that if it is only that miserable just kind of rain, but definitely raining.....that's gonna be a win 8-)
