My house is sold, regardless. If we don't find something, we'll be living with my inlaws temporarily until we do.

If we were looking for houses before mine was sold, we could have a "pending sale of my own house" condition on it. However, most sellers (according to our realtor) will not accept this condition and it's better to just wait until your house is sold before making offers on other houses.
