In response to "Can't blame Boone or Cashman for that 5th inning or Judges bat being dormant maybe Boone for that pitching decision in Gm1 " by eag

I don't want to do this right now but he's in charge of building the entire team.

We had two, maybe three good bats depending on if Gelyber or Stanton decided they wanted to make contact again. Everyone else was quite poor at their job.
Not only were most of the guys poor hitters but they were bad defensively and as John Sterling put it, like drunks on the base paths. They didn't do the fundamentals well and it showed all season long.
This was not a well built team. It had two superstars that carried the offense. The starting pitching did well this year and we were missing Cole for two months. The bullpen was up and down but overall not all that good. Our closer set the team record and possibly the MLB record for most blown saves in a season. Not good.

Cashman built this team with all the money in the world and while they made the series, they weren't a very good team overall.
