Trump started out with the "I didn't know she was black" bs. Republicans also started with that, and some followed up with the slept her way to the top nonsense.
People rightly got angry with them for it. Lead Republicans said stop the race and sex baiting and keep it about policy. I don't think that shows Republicans were moral. They just read the room a bit and knew that exact line wouldn't work.
Imo, I haven't seen the same things since. Pixie is right that they've insulted her intelligence without anything to back it up. I'll grant you that has racial and sexist undertones, but the in your face stuff above did stop afaik.
There's really no need to be so insulting.
