Voting report - People are messy

We have 4 different voting districts at one polling location. It's one large room with separate tables, voting partitions, and vote scanning machines for each district. Voting took 15 minutes total, mostly because of items 3 & 4, below.
1) Most people don't know which district they're in. One poll worker was helping to get them to the proper table, but people are generally clueless.
2) Some people were in the wrong polling location. Not just the wrong table, the wrong location.
3) One woman ahead of me was not registered to vote. The poll workers spent time trying to find her name, then eventually gave her a registration form and (what I assume was) a provisional ballot. She claimed it was because she didn't vote last time. I remain skeptical.
4) One family brought their very elderly relative to vote. He seemed to be completely unaware of where he was or what he was doing. His first ballot was rejected and needed to be voided because he voted for multiple candidates for the same race.
Throughout all of this the poll workers were gracious and helpful. They are the heroes of this story.
