Particularly now he feels he may have absolute power without repercussions, thanks to the SCOTUS.
Not that it hindered past US presidents from putting their dirty fingers in other countries' politics. See, for instance, the military coups in the 1960s with a great deal of help from the US intelligence during the coup itself and in the process of political repression that followed in the next decades here.
