Nonetheless, I have given up on Americans. They (we) are irretrievably broken. I could forgive some portion of the population being misled or wanting to try an outsider in 2016. But we have had 8 years of him and his cronies being openly criminal, despicable people. He has been forthright about how he plans to dismantle the protections of our democracy. He has been blunt about using the awesome power of one of the mightiest governments the world has ever seen to abuse, punish, and imprison those who don't support him. And a majority of voters voluntarily went to polls and asked for that.
This is no longer a vocal minority who is taking advantage of the quirks of the electoral college. This is an out and out majority of people who want our country to become the antithesis of what it is supposed to be.
They are unforgivable.
I'm not trying to bring you or anyone else down. I'm not trying to convince you that my opinion is the correct one. I'm merely trying to articulate the utter disgust that I feel toward the people of this country.
