(and I don't think you're saying this) but the answer can't be for Dems to get just a bit more racist themselves. Like, they are positions and then there are principles. And moving your principles never works because the people that like it want Racism Classic, not Racism Zero Sugar.
I'm not in the US, so I don't have the perspective on how Latinos there think but the idea that they're taken for granted seems wild to me. Like, I accept that's their opinion, but based on fucking what?
