It's like trying to argue which penalty led to a close victory. Everyone focuses on the last penalty or mistake. We forget that each mistake was set up by one before. And one before that. And one before that.

We could argue all the way back to Newt Gingrich at least.

Or Tom Griscom's packaging of President Reagan.

Or President Ford's pardon of Nixon.
