Not necessarily co-champions, but I think it's worth recognizing longevity throughout an entire season and innovation/improvement over the season.

Use the old Winston Cup/Sprint Cup points system for the "Seasonal Champion" versus the Champion at the end of the Playoffs. And give a bonus for a driver and team that does both.

Through in a Constructor's Championship and call it good.
