NBC Sports' Tom Curran reports that the NFL has upheld Marshawn Lynch's three-game suspension, despite Lynch's May appeal.

Lynch was suspended in April for violating the personal conduct policy. There were some indications since that he might get the ban reduced, but we won't see the third-year tailback until Week 4. Fred Jackson will start at New England, versus Tampa, and versus New Orleans in the first three games. Lynch risks losing significant snaps upon return if Jackson can capitalize.
