I think there’s a lot more gray area than you’re allowing, and people generally try to make the best decisions they can in the moment. -- (edited)

I don’t know enough about this particular event to say the decision made was in fact the right one, or in line with policy, but I can certainly envision someone making the choice to go knock on doors where they don’t run the risk of wasting their time getting, at a minimum, harangued for whatever lies are being told in MAGAworld that day, coupled with concerns for their own personal safety in such a situation, and I would expect that the agency would have guidelines that allows their workers to put their own safety first.
