I just don't understand why that would be. A campaign event in TX that can get you 2000 more votes is the same as an event in MI that gets you 2000

Just because a state has more people doesn't mean it's more valuable to go there.
Responses:
Texas has far more voters. A percent swing is worth a lot more bet votes.
