Defying Gravity is the real centerpiece of the show - so ending Movie 1 with it makes me wonder is Movie 2 wont seem a little underwhelming.
When it's Act 1 and Act 2, it's different. You're waiting 15 minutes for the conclusion.
But to have to go a year...I dunno. They better make Part 2 look amazing.
