when it wasn't a given that the latest blockbuster, like Star Wars or Indiana Jones, would open up in your town the first weekend??

we had to drive to Morgantown to see the original Star Wars months after it had been released because there were only about 3 or 4 one-screen theaters in our town. same for "Jedi" in 83.

my hometown was small.
