Not the same, but our longest term client (since 1999) got asked it a few weeks ago at their annual meeting.

A small organized resistance was able to get enough proxies to do it. And it comes out of the person they put on the board doesn't even want to be there. Even more so as they gradually realize just how much this man does for the HOA or rather, did for the HOA that they now have to start doing.
It sucks all the way around to lose someone who knows so much and you're so used to working with.
