I would advise none of you to ever ever fly with me

I was going to be flying out last night but delayed by a day because of a snowstorm that brought down a foot (hey Dad, I'm traveling in a snowstorm at night. Want to stop me?? Here's your chance). That flight last night was cancelled and I thought a ha, that soaked up the jinx. After an unimaginable emotional week (long story short, if Dad hadn't had Parkinson's I think he might have lived to 120), I'm on the same flight the next day, except it's now delayed so that it lands after my next connection takes off. Like, can you fucking not, universe?

Also, my wife's grandmother has had a stroke (but is apparently on the mend).
