Why is that hotels are so bad about making work spaces in their rooms? I'm at a hotel and the desk, when I sit in the chair is at chest height.

Chair is as high as it goes. Not exactly ergonomic. Lighting is terrible. I thought maybe I'd sit on the couch to read a document, but there's no lighting there. It's just mindboggling to me how things this easy they get wrong.
