For the weekday crowd, this is worth repeating: TSA Precheck was recognized by the security authorities at the airport in Montreal (YUL).

That's a first. I've had TSA Precheck for a few years, but since security is a factor of the local country (unlike customs, as you can do the "border check" for entering the U.S. with U.S. customs offices while *IN* Montreal), TSA Precheck never factored until I boarded a plane yesterday. I didn't actively seek (or know to look for) a TSA Precheck line, but when I got to the first checkpoint, they ushered me into a different line. To be honest, the line was long and slow, but the fact that I didn't have to take off my shoes was nice. Beyond that, the rest was the same.
