Leveling in this game is so illogical. I have duplicate characters at the same level. One has more spells than the other and has learned an additional spell.

Then, there are the random encounters. It's basically a dice roll for the monster and then another dice roll for how many you face. So, you'll have 15 straight easy encounters and then one that has a legit chance of wiping your party. And if you die, you die. I had one character who only lasted 20 minutes.

Gaming has come so far over the years.
