I don't think it's coincidence that I've had a fair number of trans folks I've caught feelings for.

Though in each case, they were pre-transition, and I didn't know. And in a couple of cases, they were eggs, which is what their community calls people who are, but don't yet know.

I wouldn't consider myself a chaser, a typically derogatory term for someone who highlights particular aspects of a person over their personhood.

I also don't pretend to be all that experienced in knowing what someone is going through as a transgendered person. More knowledged than most, but infinitely needing and willing to learn more.

And finally, I don't think it's surprising a great many in their community seek out one another for companionship rather than dealing with the complications and outright dangers of pairing up with cisgendered people.

They are a vital part of LGBT. They should have equal rights and protections. And anyone, including gays who say otherwise, deserve a decisive verbal smackdown at the very least. Preformative outrage or not.
