They ran a popular Mexican restaurant here and some other stuff. He and I ran in the same circles. His parents were A&M boosters. So, he lived and breathed the stuff. He used to take so much smack about how much better his conference was than the SEC. I haven't seen him in 20 years, but I have to laugh at the way it worked out.
