Is it safe to use compressed air inside my Desktop?

I opened it up and it has crazy amounts of dust in there, is using compressed air ok or is there another method for inside?

vacuuming is less messy but usually not as effective. one bad thing about compressed air ...

turn it off and unplug it first. the only potential problem is that compressed air is cold, and can cause condensation, so don't go nuts with it. -- nm
