What is the logic in Britney Spears getting a Best Video nom, but not a Best Fermale Video nom at the VMAs?

Not that I care about this awards show, I just think that's funny. Doesn't that mean x number of female videos were better than hers, but somehow hers was better when grouped with everyone?
