help, please: is there an easy way to convert a list of e-mail addresses in excel to just names?

the addresses are all [email protected]
i tried the replace function, replacing the @company.com with a space; but it didn't work.
(i also tried replacing in word, but that would have me manually delete the @company.com; and there are hundreds of names.)

You might try "Data->Text To Columns" and then split on the "." and repeat for the "@". -- nm
