Started the more trying in vain to get tickets to Them Crooked Vultures show at the Metro
After eventually leaving the hotel, walked up Michigan and eventually cut over to Grant Park in kind of dry run for the rest of the weekend. Checked out the place, confirmed that they would accept credit cards at the merch stand, came very, very close to giving into tempetation and walking away with what undoubtedly a ticket package for tonight's Galapalooza.
There was just a while box of envelopes with names on them and only some scaffolding guyg working there....
Eventually made our way to Lou Mitchells for breakfast / lunch
Walked past the Sears Tower on the way back but passed on going up as it was a 90 minutes wait and during the day, it would only be me as Veronica's not convinced that she can handle the height in the day.
Did some serious shopping on the way back as great sucess at Nordstrom's Rack and Macy's as the bigger shoe sizes are more available (for Veronica) and there's no significant number of dudes (Asians) out here with small feet so I was able to find shoes.
Kind of recovering now but have kind of pieced together a vague plan for the festival.
