Looking back at the Volt mileage calculations, if it uses .22 gallons to go 11 miles, that means

that the Volt gets 50 mpg. right?

.22 gallons/11 miles

.22 x 4.54 = 1 gallon

11 miles * 4.54 = 49.98

49.98 miles per gallon.

right?

It seems hard to guage since it's so dependent on how the car is driven. Honestly I think I could drive that car and need to fill it up on average - pmb Aug 11, 08:36
You also get the inital 40miles on the charge.....so it's 90miles on the first gallon of fuel, then 140miles on 2...190 on 3....etc etc. - Will Hunting Aug 11, 08:35 1
