You also get the inital 40miles on the charge.....so it's 90miles on the first gallon of fuel, then 140miles on 2...190 on 3....etc etc.

a single drive would be at minimum 50mpg + the 40 for the battery

I'm very pessimistic the car drives a full 40 miles of highway driving (65 mph+) on a charge.
