They didn't work at all
As a general policy, our government has a responsibility to provide more social services, financed with higher taxes if necessary.
Reducing the federal budget deficit and paying off the national debt should be the top financial priority of our government.
Deficit spending is an effective strategy for spurring the economy, and the accumulation of additional debt is countered by faster overall economic growth.
As a general policy, the government should look to reduce taxes and cut programs.
