I did the opposite in our golf league. I had to find old score cards instead of the "First play in 3 years" cards cuz I didn't want the hassle.

after the first two weeks of shooting 60 for 9 holes, my handicap was 20 anyhow. Then I rolled off 3 45's and a 46 in a month.

Won 3 sandbaggers of the week awards.
