Christmas tree fiasco.

We got a pre-lit tree last year. We safely stored it, but we plugged it back in this year, 2/3 of the lights didn't work. So, we bought new lights to put on top of the old lights. Then, we realized that was going to be too confusing and possibly dangerous if the other lights ever kicked on randomly. Finally, we tried to remove the old lights only to discover that they are (in equal parts) tied down, sewn down and clipped down.
In the end, we're getting a new tree. It will not be pre-lit.
