He didn't unleash the full evil...just alittle.
I can't imagine what he must have been thinking a few weeks ago when people were yelling, "Terrorist!" at his rallies or when that lady told him he didn't trust Obama because he was...an Arab.
He made a choice to make the friends he did, after sticking it to them for 10 years. The idea that he's going to revert to the "real" McCain angers and saddens me. Had he been the McCain of '99 he would have challenged Obama on nearly equal footing and would have done it with all his effort. You could tell he knew this wasn't him and he wasn't into it. But then again the McCain of '99 got his balls shoved in his mouth by the GOP establishment and they weren't going to let him out of the primaries this time unless he minded the leash.
What a weird little retirement he's going to have when it comes reliving his mistakes on the front porch...
