Bandslam was actually really good. (only very minor spoilers)

I expected to like it because it was from the director of Camp, but I liked it even more than I expected. Also, the music was really good and probably more hip than you'd expect from a movie starring Vanessa Hudgens and Aly Michalka. The soundtrack featured Bowie, Nick Drake, Velvet Underground, and Wilco, and I really liked some of the other bands that competed in Bandslam like The Burning Hotels and The Daze. It's totally an indie rock movie in pop movie clothes.
