There's nothing to it in the beginning, it's actually a bit slow, but once you move up a level or two you'll have more to do and buy. Be patient and the game gets better.
It's easy to keep track of when to sound the horn if you install the toolbar add on, it has a clock that counts down to when you can sound the horn and you don't have to keep facebook open, it'll open the page when you click the horn on the toolbar.
