I have never been anywhere outside of the US that I wasn't sent to by work.

Keep in mind that before this October 2006, I'd never left the US...didn't even have a passport.
That's why I work in these side trips, but I normally don't have much more the 2-day weekend for side trips, so they stay local normally. I've gone to Bruges from Brussels. I've flown to Sapporo from Tokyo for the weekend. I've flown to Cape Town from Johannesburg for the weekend. I went to Berlin from Frankfurt on a rare 4-day weekend.
Otherwise, work defines my travel schedule at this point, and it hasn't defined Paris for me yet. I have passed through Paris going from Brussels to Zurich (we were supposed to go through Luxembourg, but the Belgian train conductors went on strike that morning, so we re-routed). So I've seen two Paris train station, the metro, and a couple of buildings near the train stations.
The list of places I haven't been is insanely long.
