I tend to agree generally, but at what point do reasonable people get the chance to discuss real issues without wasting time having to put out fires

that are being lit purely to distract from real discussion. The reality is that as Barney Frank said, he has no chance of changing the mind of those people. He wants to talk to people who are actually interested in understanding and having a real discussion. If we want to raise the level of debate in this country it takes both sides. And the minority side keeps sinking lower and lower to bring down the debate. If they can't win on the merits then they'd rather pull everything down to the lowest level so it all looks like shit and they can look less distinguishable. It is doing a massive disservice to this country.
