The majority of American just aren't in favor of a full. government run. public health care option.

They never have been. That's the fight the Dems needed to face head on from the beginning. It's not some extremists convincing the country government health care is bad. People just don't want it.

As far as Frank, I don't believe he's taking a stand. I think he's posturing, and belittling like he normally does.

Your last paragraph assumes that the majority of people are paying close attention to everything the Democrats are doing. I really don't think they are. They mainly just don't want to pay for public health care, and need to be convinced it's the better option.
