at any place i've worked i wouldn't serve you unless you gave me a card first (and the card company approved it)

but then i've only worked places where i was expected to ring approx $5000 on a busy shift. at $5 a drink that's a lot of alcohol folks.
fyi - yesterday i sold $2600 in alcohol. no bad for a slow day.
