I tested Murphy again today - seeing if he would sit on command again - it took me 2 or 3 tries before he'd eventually sit, until the minute I had a treat in my hand. Then, I barely had the word "sit" out and that doggie butt was on the floor!

with my friend's (highly food motivated) rottweiler, I found I always had to pretend. he'd do anything if he wasn't sure if you had food. -- nm
