Ick. Well, in addition to subjective quality judging, they also have to do subjective "need" judging.

The people who have been on for a while probably aren't treated as harshly.
If I signed up, I'd consider stripping the exif data from my photos, although I'm sure they could find some other way to judge me for not using an SLR :)
