Top 4 make the playoffs. Losers of the first round play a "consolation game". The draft order the next year is then:

1. #12
2. #11
3. #10
4. #9
5. #8
6. #7
7. #6
8. #5
9. Consolation loser
10. Consolation winner
11. Championship loser
12. Championship winner

The question: If you lose your first-round playoff game, should you throw the consolation game to move up a draft spot? Especially if the snaking doesn't start until after the first round?
