the irony is...something.
And these Conservatives have it all wrong. McCain ran as a Conservative. He ran a campaign for the Base. He just had the bad luck of doing it when everyone wanted a Center (or dare I write: Leftist) Candidate. Not to say that a Conservative Candidate can't win in the future they just weren't going to win this time.
