behind and what did you do to meet it". The people who answer with, "oh, that happens all the time, I just do what I can do." I guarantee those resumes/apps go stright into the trash. On the other hand, applicant B says, "last September, right before Labor day weekend, we got an emergency case extension that had to be done and filed before the close of business on Friday. We started tackling it on Thrusday. Time flew by, our boss ordered food for us and came in to help us. Several of us were getting very tired so we took a little break and played charades. We finally finished at 5 am. Our boss was so pleased she gave us all that day, Friday, off. So as you can see, whenever I say I will do whatever it takes to complete tasks before a deadline, I mean it. *big smile here*
Number 2 will get hired every time.
