I'm still trying to figure out what happened this morning. I was booked in the 8:35 departure, I got tot he airport way early (around 6:25) and went to the check-in counter. Told them I was going to Turin, they checked me in, checked my bag, and I went to security. I get through security and I then notice that my boarding pass says Boarding Time is 6:30am. I check the flight number on my boarding pass against the monitors and it turns out they've checked me in for the 6:55 flight (it's now 6:45). I hurry to the gate to find three frantic gate agents who were apparently searching for me, and am scurried out to the bus (where a group of seemingly displeased people are awaiting unknowingly tardy me) and am whisked to the plane.
I wasn't surprised when my bag didn't make it. If I'd noticed the flight change when I was at the ticket counter, I would have asked to be put back on the 8:35 since my bag likely wouldn't make it anyway.
(The question i have is why did my bag not make the 8:35?. The flight arriving at 6:10 is the next flight after the 8:35 flight, but there seems no reason my bag should have missed the 8:35?)
Anyway, I'm cautiously optimistic. Apparently shops in Turin are closed on Mondays, so I'm kind fubared if this bag doesn't appear.
