for merchants, to take credit cards you have to pay a varying percentage of each trans, plus a trans fee, plus monthly maintenace fees plus whatever..

fees they can thing of. so its like 2.2 percent etc. frankly on ebay you're paying something like 10%
one cavet if dealing with schmucks, you must use a delivery method that is verifiable online, OR the buyer can claim, gee I never got it, and even if you have the signed delivery receipt, paypal will show on the fine print, see, we can't log on and look at the delivery routing and see where it came from or where it went. its a major gotcha. and some folks have been screwed. for the most part you can't use USPS because their tracking isn't available online. this is a concern only if selling expensive stuff where you might run into theives and scammers.
