Those are good tips. Don't use a debit card. Don't leave a balance in your PayPal account. Don't give them a bank account number.

The trick here is to make sure that if you sell something, the buyer can't abuse PayPal to get the money and keep the item, both.
There are protections on PayPal, though. It's an added layer of protection over eBay itself. Send everything with shipping confirmation, and if the buyer says he didn't get the product, you just need to provide PayPal with the tracking number et voila, you're off the hook.
