freaking dr. katok, my strategic procurement professor, gave us a take home midterm. she posted an excel shell for the thing on wednesday. I downloaded it and started working on the midterm.
so hard. like, unbearable. made me question my skills.
this morning I talked to someone else in my class who *completed* it in fifteen minutes. obvs I'm all like, what the hell did I do?
so I open a new copy of the exam, start working on it. two hours. nothing. I ring my classmate, all like, I know this could be seen as cheating, but (question here)? and he was like, what are you talking about? mine just (thing) for me. I didn't have to do it manually.
so I'm like, ok, obvs this is a windows v. mac thing. so I save the file, boot into windows (gag) and start working. *no dice.* it won't (thing) automatically. I try to set up the data table manually, but it's too complex.
my classmate rings me, all like, "movie, mandy?" and I'm like, dude, I cannot make this thing work and he's like did you try this and this and this and I'm like, obvs. he's like, did you look at the website to make sure your file is the right one? and I'm like bien sur - the filename's the same. and he's like babe, I don't know what to say. maybe try downloading a fresh copy?
and I'm like, whatever. it's worth a shot.
freaking dr. katok put up a new, corrected file, named it the same thing, and didn't send out an email telling us so.
I spent like eight hours working on the damn thing. I just finished it in like thirty minutes.
fucking argh.
