in fact, these days that could easily be a negative on expectations of quality.

if you fucking absolutely need me to cite examples, then I certainly would say that IMO both Katy Perry and Lady Gaga made better ones in the past year. From the clips during the show last night, Eminem and Britney's looked more interesting and probably were better too.
